Campomarino
| CAMPOMARINO The foundation legend of this town is as poetic as haunting. It tells that the origin of Camporino is related to the Homeric hero Diomed, coming back from the war of After his death the hero was buried in the awesome and close Tremiti Isles, since then also called Diomedes. The ancient origins village raises in front of the sea and is surrounded by cultivated fields. From these fertile slope caressed by the sun and the marine breeze, fine wines are produced which accompany the typical local plates and give this village the opportunity to be member of the National Association “Città del Vino”. The crystal waters, calm and shallow, the sandy beach and the various facilities allow the families to spend a vacation that’s ideal for children to play freely and in total quiet. In order to prove the beauty of the sea the town owns the “Blue Flag” award, acknowledged in 2007 and in 2008. Link
